Students and staff at #TeamWoodhey came together in fantastic style to support World Mental Health Day,  on Friday, 9th October showing our commitment to wellbeing, kindness and belonging throughout the week.

A highlight of the celebrations was our Hello Yellow Day, where students and staff proudly wore yellow to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we are delighted to announce that we raised an incredible £890 for the charity, helping to support young people's mental health across the UK.

The week was filled with a variety of activities designed to promote positive mental wellbeing. Students took part in form-time activities exploring practical wellbeing strategies, while assemblies focused on the importance of belonging, connection and supporting one another. These sessions encouraged students to reflect on how they can look after their own mental health and help others feel valued within our school community.

We are incredibly proud of the maturity, respect and engagement shown by students throughout the week. Whether participating in discussions, supporting fundraising efforts or embracing the messages shared in assemblies, students demonstrated the caring and inclusive values that make Woodhey such a special place.
