Our Year 7 students recently took part in an exciting and inspiring Enterprise Day event titled “Tomorrow’s Managers Today.” The day was designed to help students develop key enterprise and employability skills, including teamwork, communication, problem‑solving and creativity.

The event was delivered in partnership with MPLOY Solutions, whose focus on career education helped students gain a real insight into the world of work and future career pathways. Throughout the day, students worked through practical challenges and activities that encouraged them to think like future managers and business leaders.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Alex Mack and Graeme Leggott, whose support and expertise were invaluable in helping to facilitate the event and ensure its success.

Students also benefited from speaking to a range of professionals who shared their experiences and career journeys, particularly within STEM and further education pathways. Our thanks go to:

  • Janet Worthington, Product Manager at Awaze
  • Jessica Preston, Salesforce Platform Lead at Awaze
  • Sophie Moorhouse, from The Manchester College
  • Leona England, Customer Experience Coordinator from the ZEST Eco Outreach Team

Their contributions helped bring learning to life and showed students the wide range of opportunities available beyond school.

The day was engaging, motivating, and highly educational, and Year 7 students approached every activity with enthusiasm and maturity. We are extremely proud of how they represented the school and embraced the challenge. Tomorrow’s Managers Today was a fantastic success and an important step in developing our students’ confidence and aspirations for the future.
